What is a Cheese Wedding Cake?
A cake made of fine cheeses. The celebration wedding and party cakes are formed from a tower of farmhouse, artisan cheeses made by small producers and dairies in the UK, selected especially by us for taste and quality. With a great deal of experience, we can guide you to select cheeses that will work both as an ornament and together on taste. Everyone will remember your party from your cheese cake and we are sure that everyone will be tasting some of the best cheeses they have ever tried!
Why Cheese?
Besides being more reasonably priced than a traditional cake, some people simply prefer to have a savoury end to a meal. Also many of our clients want something memorable, stunning, special and different to remember their day by. Many clients love British or local food and want to celebrate their party by sourcing locally and purchasing quality tasting cheeses.
What Cheeses Are Suitable and How Much Are They?
For us to answer this we need to offer a consultation based on how many guests, your budget and preferences. Please do email or call us to discuss your requirements. We have years of experience to recommend the right cheeses. Beware of unpasteurised and non-vegetarian choices as your guests may be unable to participate! Also cheeses must cut well and match well as well as be able to withstand the weight of the tower. This is why we like to have a personalised discussion and consultation.
What Is The Best Way To Decorate The Cake?
Wedding cheese cakes look stunning decorated with fresh fruit, flowers, ribbons, raffia and foliage. You can separate layers with smaller cheeses, cake stands or simply stack! We supply, free of charge, ideas and pictures of example cakes for decoration ideas. ANYONE can decorate a cake with these ideas. No special skills required. However a florist is highly skilled and you will not be disappointed with her efforts if she decorates the cheese cake as she would a wedding cake.
How Do You Deliver?
Cheeses are delivered wrapped individually in thermally insulated boxes that maintain a cool temperature for many up to 48 hours. We use next day delivery service to arrive with you a few days before your wedding or party. We can deliver to the venue or to your private address. You must check with your wedding venue that we can deliver a few days in advance. We have many years experience of using couriers to transport cheeses so do not worry about anything - it is all managed by us. You simply tell us your wedding date and we will call to negotiate delivery details with you. We track your delivery and know exactly when it has been delivered.
How Can I Pay?
You can pay by BACs or by cheque. As this is important, we always confirm your order and receipt of payment by email, within 3 working days.
Do you deliver over the Christmas season?
We are happy to take orders but can only offer collection service from our unit or office near Stourport, Worcestershire, 15 minutes off the M5.
